Tees, Esk and Wear Valleys NHS Foundation Trust provides a range of mental health, learning disability and eating disorder services for the people living in County Durham, Darlington, the Tees Valley and most of North Yorkshire. We are also one of the leading and most successful such Trusts in the country.

With over 6,500 staff, an annual operating income of over £300 million and a ‘good’ CQC rating, we deliver our services by working in partnership with local authorities and clinical commissioning groups, a wide range of other providers including voluntary organisations and the private sector, as well as service users, their families and carers, and the public.

The Trust is now seeking to secure two appointments through a single recruitment exercise.

Firstly, the appointment of a Non-Executive Director with a Clinical background gained as a Medical, Nursing, or Allied Health Professional.

Secondly, the appointment of a Non-Executive Director with a Financial background (and a Qualified Accountant) to join as an Associate Non-Executive Director in the first instance with a view to becoming a Non-Executive Director and Chair of Audit next year.

We expect our Non-Executive Directors to bring passion and commitment as well as the capability to play a crucial role in securing a bright, sustainable and successful future for the Trust and the communities we serve.

Candidates must live in the area served by the Trust or adjacent to it for practical reasons; however, applications from residents of the City of York or North Yorkshire are particularly welcomed.
