Welcome to Dixon Walter – Housing, Infrastructure and Property

The Housing, Infrastructure and Property team here at Dixon Walter has enjoyed some significant growth in the past few months, increasing our reach and standing as one of the UK’s leading Executive Search companies. From our perspective the move shows our commitment to providing specialist and bespoke support to the Housing, Infrastructure and Property sectors in the UK and our ongoing dedication to offering a bespoke quality and service to what many have regarded as a sector which is limited in its choice of securing the services of a professional, dynamic Executive Search partner to deliver senior level talent into their businesses.

Having appointed CEO, Non Exec and Director level roles in the last 12 months, Dixon Walter are well placed to offer expert advice and commentary on the current market. We have also shown a demonstrable pledge towards encouraging positive change in terms of equality and diversity with 57% of those appointments being female in what is arguably, still a very male-dominated sphere.

In recent months we have observed the ever-increasing movement across the world of Social and Private Housing, Estates, Facilities and Infrastructure in the UK. Primarily due to a resurgence in capital development and intensifying demand for quality and choice, resulting in serious churn, we have seen nearly thirty CEO and Director appointments arising and being concluded right across the sector nationally within the last 6 months alone.

Having been at the forefront of a number of these key appointments, I have recognised the need for specialist dedication and expertise in Executive Search delivery, and I was delighted to have joined the team here at Dixon Walter to focus on Housing, Infrastructure and Property appointments at a national level. My focus primarily has been on differentiation and excellence in delivery. The traditional executive search route of many of my competitors in churning an overused candidate pool without a focus on the specific needs of the client and the role to be recruited has provided me with an opportunity to increase our share in the market whilst delivering the very best candidate fit for every senior role undertaken. Transferring a long list of unsuccessful candidates from a similar recruitment exercise in the sector should not be the starting point for evidencing either experience of recruiting at this level nor should this method be evidence of success in building an understanding of the market. Every project undertaken by the team here at Dixon Walter begins with a briefing and ultimately a bespoke plan to recruit the exact fit for any role.

Myself and the team are looking forward to continuing our growth over the coming months and should you wish to discuss any particular challenges or projects you may have please feel free to get in touch with us, we’d love to hear from you!
