We are embarking on aligning together the two professional services, Student Services and Libraries & Learning Innovation, and we are now seeking a dynamic Associate Director of Student Services to join our team, and work with the wider service leadership team to create a vision and shape for the newly aligned functions that will build on current strengths, and deliver to the needs of our diverse student community.
You will provide effective leadership to our team of professionals in student services, and through a demonstrable commitment to partnership working will effectively engage colleagues in Schools and the Students’ Union to develop a joined up approach to student progression, support and wellbeing. Informed by national policy and sector best practice, you will also provide expert advice in student services development and delivery to the Director and University senior leaders.
To apply you must be a strong communicator with substantial senior level experience of developing strategic plans and leading teams in the delivery of student services. You will have experience of driving forward positive change, and of developing institutional level policies and aligning service plans to national frameworks and regulation. Knowledge of current developments and strategies in the delivery of student services is essential, with expertise in student mental health being of distinct advantage. Most importantly, you must be committed to delivering an excellent and inclusive student experience and passionate about the importance of providing professional, flexible and impactful student support services.
