Executive Search Consultant
A graduate of the University of Oxford, with an MA in Biological Sciences, Kiersten started her career in the chemical industry, where over 13 years she held various European and global commercial roles, which provided a sound underpinning for a varied and challenging career that has included senior roles in private, public and voluntary sector organisations, including Higher Education.
Kiersten has held a number of business facing non-executive director positions, was the chair of the NEECC Tees Valley Committee for 8 years and has been an FE college governor during challenging and significant change. Kiersten returned to Executive search and selection after 10 years in Higher Education, joining the team at Dixon Walter in 2017. Her previous career and responsibility for a varied leadership portfolio of marketing, student recruitment, programme development, business engagement and international development, allows her a particular insight into the changing landscape of the HE sector and the challenges facing institutions and their leadership teams, while her time at the HEA (now Advance HE) provided deep insight into how Learning and Teaching strategy is developed, delivered and deployed in a broad range of HEI and Alternative Providers. Since joining Dixon Walter, Kiersten has led on many successful senior Academic and Professional Service appointments, she is frequently called up on to support institutional campaigns where multiple appointments are handled concurrently and the positive relationships that she engenders with both Clients and Candidates, are a hallmark of her practice.
