Keele University is renowned for its approach to high quality education, innovative research, beautiful campus, strong community spirit and excellent student experience. With a turnover in excess of £200 million, over 13,000 students and a total staff of approximately 2000, the University’s mission has remained unchanged – to make a difference in society by providing innovative, high-quality education for students from all backgrounds and by undertaking world-leading research that transforms understanding and brings benefit to society, communities and individuals
This founding mission has never been more relevant and important and in our new Pro Vice-Chancellor, we are seeking an inspiring, experienced, strategic academic leader who will facilitate the delivery of an outstanding educational experience and learning environment that meets the needs of current and future learners. As a member of the University’s Executive Committee, you will encourage a culture of enhancement that provides the highest quality contemporary portfolio and curriculum, delivers innovative and inclusive practice, a digitally enhanced educational experience, and excellent graduate outcomes.
To apply, you will have a passion for delivering outstanding inclusive education with the ability to influence and operate credibly in a pan-institutional role. You will demonstrate a track record of leading strategic initiatives that enhance the education experience of students, and of developing inclusive, sustainable and future focused curriculum that embeds employability and experiential learning at the core. You will have an excellent understanding of the learning, teaching and assessment landscape in higher education in the UK and overseas and of opportunities and innovations to deliver best practice. With inspiring and persuasive leadership skills, you will be a natural collaborator, capable of enthusing others, creating momentum and delivering organisational change.
With a new Vice-Chancellor starting in September and plans to develop a new institutional strategy, this is an exciting time to join the university and a great opportunity to influence the educational experience at Keele for generations to come.
Keele University values diversity, and is committed to ensuring equality of opportunity, and to proper and fair representation across its senior decision making groups.
