Reporting to the Vice-Chancellor the new Executive Director of Finance will work with and support the senior executive team of Roehampton, providing strategic financial direction, harnessing financial, resources and performance data to create and deliver the best financial conditions to ensure financial sustainability. In addition to continuing robust financial stewardship another key function will be to continue to develop future focused management information and modelling to support the long-term sustainability plan of the University.

In such a multi-layered, multi-faceted, and multi-stakeholder setting, key to your success will be your professional judgement, insight, and ability to influence strategic direction.

The Director of Estates & Facilities is responsible for the strategy, operations and compliance of the University’s complex and evolving estate. Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer and working closely with the Deputy Vice Chancellor, Registrar and the wider Executive Board, the Director will ensure our estate supports our vision and meets the needs of our three Faculties and all Professional Services areas.  The Director has responsibility for the built estate, including its development, maintenance, and security. They will work to improve space utilisation and make a significant contribution in delivering the University’s net zero carbon and wider sustainability objectives.

The ideal candidate for Director of Estate Operations will have senior leadership experience in estate management, be an excellent communicator and be able to inspire and engage those around you and build effective relationships with university colleagues and external partners.

Under your leadership SUMS will deliver its ambitious new strategy 2030, and you will play a leading role in cementing SUMS Consulting as the HE sector’s Management Consultancy of choice and in realising our ambitions for SUPC.

As PVC and Head of the College of Social Sciences, Arts and Humanities, you will be responsible for excellence in research, teaching, student experience, and enterprise, deepening inter-school collaboration, through effective leadership, annual planning and resource management.
