With a mission to provide an environment where creativity is nurtured, innovation is encouraged, and sustainability is practiced, for more than two decades the British Academy of Jewellery has been providing pioneering training and inspiration to the next generation of jewellers, entrepreneurs and creatives of all abilities and backgrounds in London, Birmingham, Nottingham, Sheffield, and Leicester. During this time, we’ve grown from a small school set up beneath a jewellery shop to a respected, world-class institution offering accredited courses
With a new Principal and Board of Governors, the Academy has a reinvigorated sense of purpose and is entering an exciting new stage in its development. With plans to diversify our academic offer and grow our student community, we are seeking to make several new critical leadership appointments to strengthen our Executive team and deliver on our ambitions. As our new Vice Principal (Student Experience and Governance), you will contribute to the development and implementation of the Academy’s overall strategic aims and will work closely with the Principal to ensure effective governance, fostering a positive student experience and contributing to the overall development and success of students and staff.
You will provide leadership of the highest quality for activities which support the student experience and assure academic quality at BAJ, ensuring that the requirements and conditions of registration from regulatory and funding bodies, validating and awarding partners are met. You will develop and accelerate work to enhance key aspects of quality assurance and student support with a view to ensuring that our students receive a consistently excellent education and a rewarding and enriching experience.
To apply you will demonstrate senior management experience in an education institution that offers HE provision with a proven track record of successful management of one or more of student support and wellbeing, student administration or compliance and governance in either HE or FE. With a detailed understanding of UK regulatory, governance and compliance frameworks for either HE or FE and a dynamic, supportive leadership style, you will be committed to providing the best student experience with demonstrable ability to lead enhancements to student support and drive innovative and positive change.
